Andrew & Andrea: Engagement {Fort Worth Wedding Photographers}
Posted on September 23, 2010
We wanted to take Andrew and Andrea to a different location for their engagement shoot. Something more… city-ish. So, we drove around downtown Fort Worth to find some good locations. We ended up finding some really neat spots, but the locations definitely did not scream “SAFE” to me. Even with four people (the two of us, plus the couple we were photographing), there were still times when we felt a little iffy. Andrew and Andrea were great sports, though, going to whatever places we had picked out! I have to admit, if we ever go back to the same location, we should probably invest in some pepper spray. You know… just in case.
While looking through the pictures, we reallized just how photogenic these two are. There were so many shots that we loved! Andrew and Andrea, we cannot WAIT until your wedding! Ya’ll are too cute together! Hope you enjoy your pictures!
This photo was totally a mistake… but I love it so much!
Abilene Bridal Show // Contest WINNER(s)!
Posted on September 21, 2010
Well, as you may have seen from our post the other day, we decided to to our first ever Bridal Show. We chose to do one in Abilene in order to promote more business in that direction (we mostly get DFW brides, which is GREAT but we would love to expand West!)! So, we decided to do it about 6 months ago!
We feel SO blessed by all the incredible people who helped us put on this show. From day one we had a vision of what we wanted our booth to look like – but we needed help getting it to look that way. One of our friends, Karla Elston, is super crafty and we knew she was perfect for the job! Okay, maybe crafty is an understatement. She’s literally incredible! She helped us design the set, and then created it with her husband. Can you say amazing?
We had a small staff of hard workers who did such an amazing job at creating an environment that represented our business the best! We are so so so grateful for all the hard work everyone put in and just could not be MORE pleased with how everything turned out! Thank you thank you thank you Karla, Kalin, Naomi, Joice, and David for everything you all did for us. Ya’ll are precious!
We also want to give a special THANK YOU to It’s About Time. Their awesome furniture was featured in our booth!! Be sure to stop by and say “Hi” to Susan at It’s About Time, off of South 14th Street across from United — 1395 Albany Street to be exact!
Also, a BIG thanks to all of the brides who came out to the show and stopped by our booth!
Now for the good stuff.
All of the brides who stopped by the booth got to enter a drawing to win a $300 suitcase designed by Nicole Miller! It is now time to announce the winner!!
The winner is……………………(drum roll, please)………
Mindy Briley
Yay yay yay! We are excited to present the luggage to you! Congratulations!
In other SUPER exciting news, the Total Bridal Show hosts had a contest of their own. From 11:30-12:00 on the day of the expo, they held a contest for the “Show-Stopper Booth” and winner receives a free both at the next bridal show! Well, guess what?
We won!
No kidding. For real! So if you didn’t get to go to the show, you’re probably wondering what our booth looked like, right? Well, lucky for you – we have pictures!! Take a look!

Roeland & Desiree: Married {DFW Wedding Photographers}
Posted on September 14, 2010
I remember walking into Starbucks and they already had their drinks. I sat down across from them and saw how giggly Desiree was and how kind Roeland’s eyes were. They were going to be a fun couple, I could tell. After talking with them for over an hour, I realized how much they couldn’t wait to get married. I mean, Roeland proposed on one knee despite a broken foot. NOTHING was going to stop these two from tying the knot. I don’t blame them, either. They are PERFECT together.
When I got to shoot Desiree’s bridals, she brought a pair of Roeland’s wooden shoes. For real. He has wooden shoes. If you haven’t guessed it, Roeland is Dutch. And not the – oh yeah, I’m part Cherokee Indian – kind of dutch. Like – his parents moved here from Holland when he was a kid – kind of Dutch. I was super excited to get to shoot a few shots of Desiree in her gown with the shoes on! So so fun!
Desiree and Roeland’s wedding was so amazing. The love in the air beat out the EXTREMELY hot Texas August air by FAR. Everytime I saw Roeland, he would ask about Desi. Whenever I was with Desi, she would ask about Roeland. Oh my goodness I could not WAIT for the moment she walked down the aisle and he finally got to see her. When the moment happened, I believe it was everything (maybe more) than they both hoped for. Tears streamed down both of their faces and I was so full of joy for them as the day they had been waiting for finally arrived!
Roeland and Desiree, thank you, thank you, thank you, for allowing us to document your wedding day. I will never forget how sweet you both are and what a joy it was to spend your special day with you guys! I hope you love the pictures! Blessings!
She’s beaming in this picture! I love it!
Aren’t these girls stunning?
I love when a couple writes their own vows! This was so sweet!
Look at the warning she’s giving him with her eyes! tee hee…
Nick & Shannon: Engagement {DFW Wedding Photographers}
Posted on September 9, 2010
Micah & I felt pretty humbled that a couple from Virginia chose us to be their wedding photographers! This sweet couple flew down all the way from Virginia for their engagement session in Granbury! When we first met up with them, we knew right off the bat it was going to be one of the easiest sessions we’d ever photographed. A.) They are both easy to look at. I mean, seriously, they are a handsome couple! B.) When we whipped out our cameras they didn’t go running, but they started posing themselves! Being around people who enjoys being photographed is like a breath of fresh air because it helps us to use our creative muscles at a fuller extent! Plus, it helps the whole atmosphere stay relaxed and a relaxed couple = really. awesome. photos.
So, meet Nick and Shannon. They are a couple of Virginian cuties who are getting married here in Texas next month. We are so stoked to spend their special day with them! Until then, enjoy the pics!
