We are super excited and honored to have one of our weddings featured in the WedLoft wedding blog! Michelle and her team did such a brilliant job describing our bride & groom, Lindsey & Nathan, and their sweet summer 2010 wedding just perfectly. If you want to see just what all was said about the Double Knot Girls (that’s us!!) and our awesome bride and groom, head over to our featured page WedLoft Blog!

Josh and Haley pulled up in a pickup truck. There is something about a pickup truck. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the feel of the simple and peaceful country life. Maybe it’s a representation of a down-to-earth kind of personality in my mind. Whatever it is, we liked it.
As soon as we met Josh & Haley, they felt like old friends. They were easy to talk to and enjoyable to be around. The way they acted towards one another was so respectful and sweet. Really, we get to meet the most incredible people.
Here are a few of our favorites from their session here in Granbury!

We were ecstatic to hear that both Cynthia and her daughter, Mandee, are getting married this year. Not only was this going to be special year for them to each marry the love of their lives, but for a mom and daughter to each share in the joy of preparing for marriage together is so special. We mentioned in Cynthia’s Bridal post how she and Mandee did bridal portraits together (but we can’t post the ones with Mandee in them until after her wedding in October!). This was one of the most special sessions we had ever done. After spending the evening with the both of them, we couldn’t have been more excited to photograph each of their special days.
Cynthia & Bruce’s day was the first of the special events. They got married at the lavish and highly awarded, Rough Creek Lodge, and we got to work alongside the ever-talended wedding coordinator, Brenda Weaver. The day was amazing and we had such a great time celebrating with them!
Thank you, Cynthia & Bruce, for letting us capture the memories of your day for you! Ya’ll are a special couple and we are praying for amazing blessings in your marriage!

Cynthia & Bruce got married a couple Saturdays ago, so that means we can post Cynthia’s stunning bridal portraits! Fun fact: Cynthia & her daughter Mandee are both brides this year! We will be photographing Mandee’s wedding in October, but we got to do a SUPER fun thing for the first time in history at Double Knot Photography. Mother/Daughter Bridal Portraits! Seriously, it was the coolest thing ever. So special and sweet. The only bad part is that we can’t post any of the pictures of Cynthia & Mandee together until AFTER Mandee’s wedding!
But in happy news, Cynthia is one of the most beautiful women we have ever met and it was such a joy to be able to photograph her. She’s lovely inside and out and we had SUCH a great time with her! She and her daughter Mandee are very close and it made for some very sweet moments during the shoot. Although we can’t post the pictures of them together now, we CAN post some images of Cynthia! Enjoy!

Brian & Meggan are the mushy-gushy type. It’s one of our favorite types. I remember hearing Meggan’s mom (who was also her Matron of Honor) say during the toast that Meggan and Brian are the couple who can’t even pass each other in the house without touching or kissing. That’s just plain sweet. They bring out the best in each other, you can tell. He takes care of her and she makes him smile from ear to ear. Laughter and whispers to one another declaring their love are a common occurence around these two. It was such an honor to photograph their wedding day. Meggan was one of the most laid back brides we’ve ever had. She was just so peaced out all day, knowing she was finally getting to marry the love of her life. Honestly, Meggan is pretty much the ideal bride. She would have let us take her to the moon for pictures as long as Brian got to come. It’s a good thing too, because we hiked across a busy street to get the shots we knew they would love!
Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Polasek, for letting us in on a very special day for the two of you. Ya’ll are awesome! Congrats!
These were Meggan’s grandmother’s dresses! Isn’t this a great idea? We LOVED it!
This was just a quick shot Micah grabbed before we crossed the street, but I love it!
There’s a story for the second image below. The ring bearer’s mom & dad were both in the wedding party, so they told him to “go find a big stick” while we were grabbing a few more shots. This is what he came back with. Awesome.
