Charley & Mandee Wedding | Fort Worth Wedding Photographers
Posted on September 29, 2011
Charley & Mandee are a couple that we cannot thank enough. Why, you ask? Not just because they were amazing clients to work with. No.. no. They were also our guinea pigs for two very fun things! First, we asked them if we could have a videographer during their engagement session, who would be creating a video for us.
* Side note * Peter Friedlander is our amazing videographer (he’s now working in Israel!). You can see the video at the top of the page, if you haven’t seen it yet! Shout out to Peter! You rock!
Back to the amazing-ness of Charley & Mandee. THEN, Charley & Mandee let us test out our brand new feature at Double Knot, the Photo Booth! If you are a bride & are interested in having a Photo Booth at your wedding (yes, your guest can receive prints on location & you will receive a DVD afterwards!), please inquire! So, Mandee & Charley were not only cool with us implementing our photo booth for the very first time at their wedding, they were stoked about it! Although it required MUCH transfer of equipment from loading dock to the 3rd floor of the Fort Worth City Club, it was totally worth it. SO much fun. Plus, we had the incredible Mikka Hill & Macy Moncrief of Mikka Hill Photography working the Photo Booth for us. Thank you, girls! Love ya’ll!
Mandee and Charley, you are such a sweet and special couple. We are so thankful to have shared not only in your wedding day, but also through the months of planning, chatting, and decision-making leading up to it. We are praying for your marriage and are excited for your life as a married couple! Enjoy the images!

Sneak-y Peek of Reille’s Room | Micah
Posted on September 27, 2011
I think it’s about time we devote a post to the little darlin’ who is soon to make her December Debut! I must first begin with the pronunciation of her name. David and I spent much deliberation on the spelling of Reille’s name and came to the conclusion we could spell her name any way we wanted
. Since I’ve spent my whole life repeating my name and giving the spelling, I decided my daughter can do the same. David’s favorite way of explaining Reille’s pronunciation is “Gabrielle without the Gab.” Do you know how many ways you can spell Reille?!? Ask my cousin – I think she gave me every possible option
. David’s mom is a reading specialist so we knew our “e” before “i” spelling might throw her for a loop! (sorry GiGi) I’ve always thought the meanings of a name is so powerful and when we found that Reille means “God is my strength,” we loved it! Reille Joy. Perfect
.
Much preparation has been made for little Reille. We are in the process of decorating her room, so I thought I could give you a few insider photos on the most “amusing” parts at this moment. David made a joke one night when we were eating dinner that’s buzzing through our family. He laughed, “Glammy (my mom) will teach Reille how to shop and GiGi will teach her how to read!” LOL. Can you guess by the photos who has been shopping?!?
Glammy is a firm believer that every girl should have a closet full of shoes. We are 10 weeks away from Reille’s arrival and she already has one drawer full of shoes
.
We don’t know what would Reille do without her GiGi! We can’t wait for GiGi to instill in her perhaps the most important skill
. (Well, Glammy would beg to differ!)
Everyone has been asking about the theme of her nursery. We are going for Vintage Baby! Here is a lamp my mom found at a garage sale for 50 cents. Isn’t it awesome!?!

Matt & Haylee Engagement | Granbury Wedding Photographers

“Hi! I’m Haylee!!!” She exclaimed one morning at church. As in, the Haylee we had been excitedly corresponding with for the past few weeks about photographing their wedding. Actually, it’s not just any wedding ceremony. You see, Haylee and Matt are actually already married. They already have two PRECIOUS children. But, they never had a formal ceremony to celebrate the union. Is it awesome or is it awesome that we get to be a part of such an exciting thing? Seriously, we are stoked.
