DK & Ashley Wedding | Stephenville Wedding Photographers

DK & Ashley got married on a sunny winter December day in the small town where Micah, Mikka, & I all grew up. It’s always fun to venture there, since we always see old friends and familiar faces. Since Micah is still spending time with little Reille, Mikka was again the Double-to-the-Knot for this wedding. When Mikka is with me, you know fun is right around the corner!
DK & Ashley chose to do a First Look, like most of our brides do, and it was SUCH fun to have time to get some creative and sweet shots of them on their wedding day. Ashley’s dress was completely stunning and DK was blown away with how beautiful she looked! Another fun aspect of their wedding was the fact that the two bridesmaids and groomsmen were married to each other! It was fun to pose them a bit more cozy for the wedding party shots! Yay for marriage all around!
Thanks so much, DK & Ashley, for letting us spend your day with you! You are a treasure! Enjoy!

Adam & Kiley Engagement | Granbury Wedding Photographers

Adam and a friend went to grab a bite to eat one night at Chili’s and it was that night that Adam unknowingly met the love of his life, Kiley, who was a waitress there. Adam & my (Ashley) husband, Eric, work together at StoneWater church now, but I met Adam about a year ago when Eric told me that there was this “awesome, soulful singer” he found on Facebook. Next thing you know, he’s a part of the worship team, joins the StoneWater staff, and now we are like family. When Adam told us about his new love interest several months ago, we were amazed and excited to hear it was Kiley.
I met Kiley in college and I was immediately impressed by her ability to gain a new friend in an instant. She’s fun to be around, with her bubbly and sweet personality, so it’s no surprise that Adam fell in love with her quickly. It wasn’t just those qualities that attracted Adam to her, though. She is passionate for Jesus (like Adam), creative and artsy (like Adam), and is real about who she is and what she loves (like Adam). They are just two genuinely sweet people who completely deserve each other.
It’s been so fun to watch their story unfold right before our eyes, and it is such an honor to be their wedding photographers. Can’t wait for the wedding!!

Scott & Kim Wedding | Fort Worth Wedding Photographers

If you ever have the chance to get to know Scott & Kim, they are absolutely a couple you want to get to know. They are a couple who makes everyone feel like they are important to them and genuinely caring for your well-being. During their wedding day, Mikka joined me (Ashley) to document their wedding while Micah is spending time with her sweet newborn Reille. Mikka and I talked on the way home about how refreshing it was do do a wedding like Scott & Kim’s. It was just one of those that renewed our love for wedding photography and made us remember why we love what we do so much.
Scott & Kim’s ceremony took place in Colleyville at the Piazza in the Village, while the reception was in downtown Fort Worth at the City Club. On the drive there, it was raining cats and dogs, so we were contemplating how we would approach the portrait portions of the day, as well as how Kim was fairing during the downpour. As soon as we met Kim at the Piazza, we realized her spirits were high and she was a happy girl. After all, no matter the weather, she was getting married that day!! The rain continued most of the day, but we were able to snag just 1 group portrait outside and a few of Kim & Scott in downtown Fort Worth. To my delight (& Scott & Kim’s), Mikka brought her 2 beautiful clear dome umbrellas and we all had blast snapping some fun shots in the rainy weather.
Altogether, a beautiful day with a beautiful couple. Scott & Kim, you are precious and we are thankful for you! Hope you love your images!

They were game for a sunrise session, since the lighting would be the prettiest at that location at sunrise, so we awoke long before the sun came up to prepare for a fun morning. We all started on the beautiful pier, worked our way down the beach, then caught a cab into Puerto Morales, a little town close to the resort we were staying in. Due to the near hurricane, the little town had parts that were completely flooded. Some of the roads were under a foot of water and the cab drivers drove right through them! Scary!! But, we had the best time in that little town, using the bright colored buildings and even the locals as “props.” Such a delightful morning!
Hope we can go back soon! Until then, enjoy their day after pics!
