It’s always surprising when we have a calm wedding day schedule. Normally, we are busting at the seams to keep on track with getting everyone shuffled around, getting the right pictures at the right times, and adjusting to brides running late (which is almost always the case, no biggie!). Not with these two. Even with the 20 person wedding party, every time we walked into a room – even the groom’s room – there was so much peace, calmness, and sweet excitement and readiness. Nothing ran late. Actually, everything was early (even family pictures after the ceremony). We are telling you, this wedding was awesome! Every person in the wedding party was so sweet to us and even thanked us… wow. We are just blown away at the class and hearts of the precious people we got to know this weekend.
Honestly, the wedding party always says a lot about the bride & groom. First, the fact that there were eight bridesmaids and eight groomsmen supporting these two on their special day spoke volumes, but even more so the way each person was so respectful of each other and us and so ready to help Emily & Emery with anything they needed. We just adored them all, but we were really in awe (but not surprised) that Emily & Emery would have such amazing friends. After all, they are one amazing couple. Working with these two has been such a delight and we are so glad to have met them and call them our friends.

AJ & Kate Engagement | Granbury Wedding Photographers

We are SUPER excited to post this engagement session… not just because AJ & Kate are awesome, sweet, and literally win the award for Best Dressed at DKP, but because they are special friends of mine (Ash). I’ve gotten to experience their love story first hand, seeing how the Lord has transformed their relationship from great friends to “the one” for each other in just a matter of months. AJ, an intern at StoneWater Church, got the amazing opportunity to do a surprise proposal on a Sunday morning from the platform. Our pastor, Jeremy, was in the middle of a February sermon series called “The One” and worked it out with AJ to pull Kate on stage and ask her the big question. Here are a few pictures from that Sunday:
We’ve had a few months to plan their session with them, but Kate has such amazing taste that all we had to do was give her the freedom to dream! She brought amazing props for their session and more importantly, dressed them perfectly for the type of session they wanted! Ahh, love! Their session took place at the same place they will be getting married in September, Kate’s grandparents’ land. It was completely gorgeous! We loved it so much and cannot wait for their wedding out there!

Scott & Kelly Wedding | Lindale Wedding Photographers

There are weddings we dream about shooting, and this was one of them! Kelly and Scott tied the knot at the Rockin’ C Ranch, a Christian Camp on a working ranch where Scott devotes most of his time! It was absolutely breathtaking! Kelly thought through every detail of her wedding, from the Africa shaped grooms cake to a blindfold for their First Look to the mason jar program/fans to the fabric squares where guests to write a message for their wedding quilt. It was p-e-r-f-e-c-t!

We will never forget the words spoken during the toast at Kevin & Lauren’s reception, “These two will change the world!” Once you meet this amazing couple you will agree – they ARE world changers. This sentence speaks volumes about this beautiful couple. The love these two share and freely give to others is quite unique. They make you want to be a better person just by being in their presence!
Lauren’s personality was painted through every detail of the wedding. The bright colors spoke of her bubbly personality. Aren’t the colors beautiful? You have got to see the fortune cookies Lauren’s mom made BY HAND for the wedding. We were blown away 
! Who does that? A mom who dearly loves her daughter.

Austin & Callie Engagement | Abilene Wedding Photographers

Callie & Austin met in Oxford. Yes, that’s England. They were both studying abroad with a group from ACU, never having met before that summer. You can tell this is a romantic story, can’t you?? It only gets better. So, for their engagement – Austin surprised Callie with a trip back to Oxford (she didn’t know where they were going until she looked at her boarding pass at the airport!) and gave her the proposal of a lifetime! Isn’t that amazing? They even had friends take pictures and a video of the event. How special!
We traveled out to Austin’s family ranch in Albany for their engagement session. Callie’s mom and Austin’s parents came along for the adventure, too, so we had a fun family affair! It was such a blast getting to know these two, and experiencing their love first hand. They are such a neat couple and we are so glad to know them!
