Scott & Kelly Engagement | DFW Wedding Photographers

Posted on March 15, 2012

Scott & Kelly were such a pleasure to spend time with, not to mention, so lovely to photograph. We often stopped during the session just to hear more about their lives – about Scott’s adventures as a missionary in Africa or how Kelly’s sweet and care-taking disposition, along with her nursing skills, led up to taking care of the elderly and sick in her and Scott’s family. They are like a jewel of a couple. We just loved being around them!

Their session was in the same place that we did Kelly’s brother Brian & his fiance Lindsay’s session. Yep! Kelly & Brian are siblings and they are both getting married this year (and they both chose us as their photographers!)! It was the same family land out in Emory, TX – very beautiful and meaningful. So fun to get to go back!

Scott & Kelly, we just adore you guys! We hope you love what we captured!

Matt & Sarah Engagement | DFW Wedding Photographers

Posted on February 17, 2012

The moment we began speaking on the phone, we wanted to be her friend. The weather was not cooperating for Matt & Sarah’s engagement session, but her optimistic and peppy attitude was a subtle announcement that no storm would rain on her engagement parade, so-to-speak. We loved it. Sarah said she likes to take risks, so with a 30% chance of rain for their session day, we kept the appointment.

Well, what do you know? It ended up being the most gorgeous and sunny day! Perfection. We met Matt & Sarah at the city courthouse in San Saba, where Matt’s family owns land. The land also happens to be where Matt & Sarah met and he asked her out for the first time. We LOVE a meaningful location for an engagement session. So fun!

When we got to the land, we fell in love with the serenity and peacefulness of the location. That’s not all we adored. Nope. Matt & Sarah are pretty much the cutest couple ever. It’s truly couples like them that make us love our careers more and more. They were SO fun to photograph since they are so sweet and in love. ** happy sigh…. ** :)

After a couple months on maternity leave (well, Micah was on maternity leave & I just regrouped after the crazy fall schedule) we were excited to get back into the groove. There couldn’t have been a better couple for us to start off the year with! We love them and cannot wait for their wedding! Hope you enjoy!

Adam & Kiley Engagement | Granbury Wedding Photographers

Posted on December 20, 2011

Adam and a friend went to grab a bite to eat one night at Chili’s and it was that night that Adam unknowingly met the love of his life, Kiley, who was a waitress there. Adam & my (Ashley) husband, Eric, work together at StoneWater church now, but I met Adam about a year ago when Eric told me that there was this “awesome, soulful singer” he found on Facebook. Next thing you know, he’s a part of the worship team, joins the StoneWater staff, and now we are like family. When Adam told us about his new love interest several months ago, we were amazed and excited to hear it was Kiley.

I met Kiley in college and I was immediately impressed by her ability to gain a new friend in an instant. She’s fun to be around, with her bubbly and sweet personality, so it’s no surprise that Adam fell in love with her quickly. It wasn’t just those qualities that attracted Adam to her, though. She is passionate for Jesus (like Adam), creative and artsy (like Adam), and is real about who she is and what she loves (like Adam). They are just two genuinely sweet people who completely deserve each other.

It’s been so fun to watch their story unfold right before our eyes, and it is such an honor to be their wedding photographers. Can’t wait for the wedding!!

Kendall & Allison Engagement | Abilene Wedding Photographers

Posted on November 30, 2011

Allison is the kind of gal that can make anyone feel like a world-class comedian. She laughed at all of our silliness, making us puff up like champions of comedy. We love people like that. Mostly because it creates fun moments in your session, which equals better pictures. Yay for a giggly kind of gal.

Here’s a kicker. Allison’s brother and Kendall are really good friends. Allison’s brother proposed to his girlfriend the night before Allison got proposed to. As Allison made her way to work on a normal Friday, she had no idea Kendall would show up that afternoon and surprise her with a GORGEOUS rock and the question of her lifetime. Nope. She did not know. So now, Allison’s parents have two kids getting married this winter. Love is so fantastic, isn’t it?!

Kendall & Allison, ya’ll are AWESOME. We want to thank you, not only for laughing with us, but for simply being an awesome couple. We cannot WAIT for your wedding!

Emery & Emily Engagement | Fort Worth Wedding Photographers

Posted on November 28, 2011

Their proposal story includes dancing in the dark on a country back road. You can tell that Emily has been blessed with a romantic. Can we just all agree that their proposal sounds like a movie? Or at least a girl’s dream date? Way to go, Emery!

Emily is quite a catch herself. With her bubbly personality and infectious smile, it’s quite hard not to want to sit for hours over a cup of coffee with her, talking life, love, and whatever else happens to come up. To say the least, these two were SO much fun to photograph. Our favorite part might have been when they agreed to play in a candy shop we found in the Stockyards in Fort Worth. Micah & I are silly and like to have fun, so it was perfect when Emery and Emily went right along with our schemes!

You are going to love them as much as we do before it’s all said and done. Without further ado, meet the happy couple.
