The Best Pickle Face Ever!! | Micah
Posted on April 24, 2013
Somedays you just need a good belly laugh, and today was one of those days! While eating lunch I introduced Reille to my absolute favorite food – the pickle! Despite her facial expressions, she asked for a seconds!
Happy Wednesday!

With just over 3 weeks left until our sweet boy is set to arrive, my procrastinator instincts began to kick in. Yes, I am the girl who often thinks “Hm… I should probably get that done,” and “Oh well, it’s no big deal… it will work out,” along with familiar phrases such as, “Why do I have to make a plan?” and “Why do I have to think about this right now?”
It hurts my brain to think sometimes.
Micah understands my tendencies. Which is why I asked her with less than a month from my due date if she would mind snagging a few pictures of Eric and me and The Bump. Plus, the fact that she’s my favorite photographer and friend plays a small role in why I asked her. Those three things… you know… all worked out perfectly for my ever-loving-and-procrastinating self.
These pictures were taken despite the “I LITERALLY have NOTHING to wear” proclamations, the dark and rainy weather, the 30 minute time slot before we had a real photo shoot with a bride, and the fact that Eric & Micah’s husband, David, were anxiously awaiting for us to finish so they could reach their ultimate destination – The Ballpark in Arlington. I’d like to just say, although I haven’t been in love with every extra curve I’ve gained over the last 8 months and the fact that not even a t-shirt can comfortably cover this belly these days, I absolutely adore these images and I know I will treasure them forever. Okay… and honestly, I didn’t really even want pictures done. I mean, I did, but I didn’t. It’s just SO much easier to be behind the camera than in front, especially when I am trying my hardest to be confident in the crazy shape of a body I’m sporting these days. There’s one thing I do know. I will never regret taking these (thank you Micah, for your insistence).
Hopefully within the next week or two I will post pics of the nursery, which is still not officially done (remember the disclaimer at the beginning?). So – hopefully I will get those up before our new addition arrives. Then, the NEXT time I give a personal post, you can expect to see tiny fingers and toes. Get excited.
FAVORITE!!!
And THIS is how most of the shoot went…
