DK & Ashley Wedding | Stephenville Wedding Photographers
Posted on December 28, 2011
DK & Ashley got married on a sunny winter December day in the small town where Micah, Mikka, & I all grew up. It’s always fun to venture there, since we always see old friends and familiar faces. Since Micah is still spending time with little Reille, Mikka was again the Double-to-the-Knot for this wedding. When Mikka is with me, you know fun is right around the corner!
DK & Ashley chose to do a First Look, like most of our brides do, and it was SUCH fun to have time to get some creative and sweet shots of them on their wedding day. Ashley’s dress was completely stunning and DK was blown away with how beautiful she looked! Another fun aspect of their wedding was the fact that the two bridesmaids and groomsmen were married to each other! It was fun to pose them a bit more cozy for the wedding party shots! Yay for marriage all around!
Thanks so much, DK & Ashley, for letting us spend your day with you! You are a treasure! Enjoy!

Scott & Kim Wedding | Fort Worth Wedding Photographers

If you ever have the chance to get to know Scott & Kim, they are absolutely a couple you want to get to know. They are a couple who makes everyone feel like they are important to them and genuinely caring for your well-being. During their wedding day, Mikka joined me (Ashley) to document their wedding while Micah is spending time with her sweet newborn Reille. Mikka and I talked on the way home about how refreshing it was do do a wedding like Scott & Kim’s. It was just one of those that renewed our love for wedding photography and made us remember why we love what we do so much.
Scott & Kim’s ceremony took place in Colleyville at the Piazza in the Village, while the reception was in downtown Fort Worth at the City Club. On the drive there, it was raining cats and dogs, so we were contemplating how we would approach the portrait portions of the day, as well as how Kim was fairing during the downpour. As soon as we met Kim at the Piazza, we realized her spirits were high and she was a happy girl. After all, no matter the weather, she was getting married that day!! The rain continued most of the day, but we were able to snag just 1 group portrait outside and a few of Kim & Scott in downtown Fort Worth. To my delight (& Scott & Kim’s), Mikka brought her 2 beautiful clear dome umbrellas and we all had blast snapping some fun shots in the rainy weather.
Altogether, a beautiful day with a beautiful couple. Scott & Kim, you are precious and we are thankful for you! Hope you love your images!

Travis & Amy Wedding | Cancun Wedding Photographers

Travis & Amy chose to do a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico and wanted to bring us along to capture every moment. Well, okay!!
These two are probably two of the sweetest people we have ever worked with. Amy was completely relaxed leading up to the wedding, even when the resort called her a week before they were heading to Mexico and told her their wedding planner (who planned & retained all the details for Travis & Amy’s wedding) had quit. They had a new planner, but Amy had to re-plan it all a week before her wedding! Amy didn’t even flinch. A few decisions later, they had a perfect wedding planned (again). With just their families and a couple friends, they said their vows on a perfect sunny and 80 degree day. Ahhh…. destination weddings. LOVE THEM.
When the happy couple returned home, they had a large reception with their extended family and friends at Bass Hall in Fort Worth. It was as lovely as the two of them! Amy & Travis, you guys are awesome. It has been such a pleasure to work with you! Can’t wait to post your Day After session!!

I (Micah) jumped at the opportunity to help Caroline shoot Rajni and Cody’s wedding!! I have a dear friend from India and have anxiously awaited the day I could participate in such amazing culture. Rajni is drop dead gorgeous and Cody so readily embraced every moment of Rajni’s culture on their wedding day. It was so beautiful to watch. Indian culture is bursting with color so I was on cloud nine photographing all the beauty!

Cagney & Carlisle couldn’t have had a more beautiful Saturday to get married outside. The breeze was soft, the sunset was gorgeous, and the two of them were just as happy as ever to tie the knot. We were excited for their wedding, not to mention it was the last wedding Micah would shoot before Reille was born, so it was an exciting one for us!
Carlisle & Cagney have been such a fun couple to work with! Do you remember their e-session that ended with ice cream? Now, that’s just awesome! This couple has been a joy to get to know. Enjoy their wedding images!
