Jonathan & Rachel: Engagement

Jonathan and I (Ashley) have been close for a couple years now. I mean, really close. Literally. He’s my dentist. Oh how I like seeing Jonathan anywhere but at the dentist’s office. He likes to get all up in my grill and poke around and tell me that I have a cavity and stuff like that. RUDE.

Okay, totally kidding about the rude part. He’s a GREAT dentist. I totally recommend him to everyone! You can find his info here. Anyway – several months ago I met a girl that he had been dating at a StoneWater picnic. I remember that Eric and I had a conversation on the way home about how we really liked her. Not only was she beautiful, but she was incredibly sweet, and most importantly – laughed at all of Jonathan’s jokes. One of the most important things for a “funny guy” to look for in a girl is someone who “gets” them. Ya know? She totally did.

Fast forward several months and Jonathan and his girl, Rachel, are engaged. I’ve spent some time with Rachel and I feel so blessed to have made a new friend! She just graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary and is now looking for a counseling job (anyone know of one?). These two are perfect for each other and a TON of fun to be around. I think Eric and I have met our match as far as people who like to laugh their faces off at EVERYTHING. I mean it. We didn’t know there was anyone as silly as us. We love them. Okay, I will quit being creepy now.

Jonathan & Rachel are getting married in St. Lucia in August (unfortunately they have a friend that is going to photograph their wedding… so they didn’t need a wedding photographer… DARN). I know their wedding is going to be as incredible as they are!
